The Power of 100+ Nuts is an innovative and community-drive approach to local philanthropy!

• Collective Giving: Over 100 community members each contribute $100, creating a substantial pooled donation of $10,000

• Direct Community Impact: Local organizations have the opportunity to secure significant funding

• Transparent Selection Process:

  • Three pre-qualified organizations are randomly selected to present

  • Organizations give a focused 10-minute pitch to explain their mission and planned use of funds

  • Winner is chosen by secret ballot from event attendees

Apply to present at our 2026 event on behalf of your community-based organization serving the greater Durham area (generally, the boundaries of the Durham Unified School District).

Bring a blank check to the event if you can attend.
